DROUYN & CO was born out of the sale of a bunch of plantains and oranges. At least the idea of distribution was inspired in 1995 by President, owner and founder, Alfredo Drouyn Ubiñas. It was his first sale of produce, grown and harvested in the family's Hacienda Piedra Gorda that encouraged Alfredo to branch out into the restaurant world. Before he knew it, the entire Hacienda's production was distributed and his customers began to ask him for products they simply couldn't find locally. DROUYN & CO. then began to research, find and solve the needs of its clients, by importing the requested products at the best prices.

In 2002, DROUYN & CO. incorporated its service offerings in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Family-owned and 100% Puerto Rican, DROUYN & CO. prides itself in supporting the local agricultural industry as well as providing work opportunities to locals abound and b doing so helping the local economy as well. Its client base, which is rapidly expanding includes: hotels, restaurants, chefs, supermarkets and the occasional passerby.

Today, DROUYN & CO. is experiencing tremendous growth. The number of employees has quadrupled and so has its reliable delivery fleet. Its refrigerated warehouse and delivery trucks also guarantee its quality goods arrive safely to their final destination. The company's growth is a direct reflection of the service, quality and proffesionalism inherent at DROUYN & CO.
